THOUGHT POLICE HQ VISITED AND PROTEST AT HARLAN INTERFAUNA

Monday, 25th October

On our third day of solidarity demos we went to Cambridgeshire Police HQ in Huntingdon where NETCU was spawned and is strongly believed to still operate from, they remain active and produced a press release concerning the sentencing. NETCU have also been advising HLS funders, Fortress Investment Group about how to try and stifle lawful protest, and we though the police were meant to uphold rights, not take them away? Activists were directed to Superintendant Steve Pearl's office only a couple of years ago by a hapless PC. Regrettably Cambridgeshire part-time FIT officer, PC Bacon and friend would not let us stay in the grounds or do an inspection of the police gym so off we went to Harlan off Sawty Road (B1090), Huntingdon, PE28 2DT near the village of Kings Ripton.

This terrible place breed and supply thousands of beagles for vivisection all over the world, but of course many of them end up dying in their own blood and vomit at HLS just down the road. It was heartbreaking to be out in the sun knowing that those beagles would never be taken on a walk or enjoy the feel of grass under their feet. At Harlan you can hear the dogs barking all the time desparate for love and attention, you can get very close to the kennels by walking around the fence. We stayed there until the last worker went home, so they were reminded that what they do is not exceptable.

There's no justice, just us!
