FORTRESS SUBSIDIARY CONTINUE TO HAVE DEMOS IN MIDLANDS

Midlands SHACtivists turned up again today to the Headquarters of Ocean Finance, because they are 80% owned by the company Fortress, who is responsible for lending over $70 million dollars to the notorious and evil Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Upon our arrival, staff hurried to slam their windows shut, close the blinds and lock the doors. A loud demo took place in which we once again informed them of the unethical and unscientific problems that vivisection is responsible for, a dying industry in which millions of humans and countless amounts of animals die at the hands of. We told them of the non-animal, better methods, and continued to shame them and their parent company because of the world's largest and most exposed animal testing laboratory that they continue to fund.

Huntingdon Life Sciences will close down. With no proper bank account, no insurance company, except through the UK government, a debt of over $160 million dollars which they can't afford to pay back, being kicked off of both the London and New York Stock Exchanges and having no other option than to go private, and constantly losing business relationships and contracts, it not only makes no ethical or scientific sense to be involved with HLS, but no sense for profit-making either because their is no financial gain to be made from this shambles of a company, and finally no business sense either - with the constant exposes, a financial disaster and a dedicated campaign to close this vile, disgusting company down - FORTRESS/OCEAN FINANCE, PULL OUT OF HLS!

Workers of Ocean Finance later left the office to go home, with heads bound low and scurrying feet they got inside their vehicles, we gave them a loud and noisy farewell which clearly they disliked further - well you know what to do...
