home >> news FORTRESS SHAREHOLDERS GET MORE PROTESTS IN DC Wednesday, 22nd September As part of the Global Financial Focus Week of action, DC activists held another round of demonstrations against the HLS/Fortress shareholder, Goldman-Sachs and largest of Fortress shareholders, Nomura. At Goldman-Sachs, activists were harassed by the US Capitol Police, who tried and failed to get permission to search a bag and also were refused ID. Silly cops, animal rights protesters don't carry ID and never consent to illegal searches! We will continue with our protests until Goldman-Sachs and other Fortress collaborators stop supporting and funding the abuse inside HLS, despite the police and security guards presence at these demos we will continue to name and shame them. We moved on to Nomura, the major Fortress stockholder in DC, afterwards. Our message was still heard loud and clear, and a speak out continued on outside their offices about Nomura's dirty dealings with Fortress and Huntingdon Life Sciences. Fortress Investment made over $70M in loans to puppy-killing Huntingdon Life Sciences or HLS, and is the sole financial reason HLS is still in business. Until either Fortress dumps HLS or HLS goes bankrupt anyway, any and all investors in Fortress are being treated by activists as Fortress and HLS puppy-killers. That goes for both at the office and at the home.
