MORE LONDON DEMOS AT HLS COLLABORATORS

Friday, 3rd September

We started our demos for the day outside Bank of America at the Merrill Lynch building at 2 King Edward Street/100 Newgate Street, London as they own nearly 8 million shares in Fortress Investment Group. This is a good demo location, with lots of passing traffic and passers by. We had a strong loud demo here with much interest from the public and employees from the building. We stayed there for over an hour making sure BoA got our message good and clear: "if you deal with Fortress or HLS we will be on your doorstep".

We then moved on to Nomura a few hundred meters away at Nomura House, 1 St Martins Le-Grand who are the largest Fortress shareholder with 60 million shares as well as sharing some directors with Fortress, so are a important main target in this campaign. Fortress may ignore us and try to stifle of rights to protest but we will not give in and we will continue to highlight any company that has dealings with Fortress and HLS. After all, without these companies 500 innocent animals would not be tortured and killed inside HLS every day. We had another loud and focused demo here before moving on.

Next stop of the day was in the West End; Sankaty Advisors Ltd, Devonshire House, Mayfair Place, London who are the fourth largest shareholder of Fortress and are part of Bain Capital. Fortress Investment Group have their fingers in so many pies that there are many protest locations across the world, so lets get to applying more pressure against this disgusting company that profits from animal abuse and torture. Some activists went in to talk with Sankaty Advisors, but they where a bit shy and embarrassed to have been named and shamed. But we will not go away until you sell your Fortress blood money shares, now we have made you aware of your investment we hope you do the right thing.

Last stop of the day had to be AstraZeneca at 15 Stanhope Gate, this greedy, corporate and morally bankrupt company is not only a customer of HLS, but supportive of the abuse at HLS despite all the exposes and leaked documents showing animal cruelty, sloppy work practices and scientific fraud. We made sure they got the message that we will not tolerate their existence while they continue to profit from the suffering and misery of others. We gave the workers leaving for their weekend something to remember - that they can not hide away from their company's abuse and corruption and as long as they continue to deal with HLS they can expect a lot more attention.
