NOMURA AND SANOFI HAVE PROTESTS IN PARIS

Demo 1 - Monday, 20th September

French Nomura Bank, 7 Place d’Iéna, 75116 Paris

To show our support of SHAC’s ‘Financial Focus’ week of action, we demonstrated in front of Nomura’s building in Paris in a very smart district. This building accommodates other companies (like Apple), which now know about Nomura’s dirty business. Our “Lâchez HLS” (Give up HLS) banner and our slogans amplified by megaphones were seen and heard by a lot of employees.

Demo 2 - Friday, 24th September

Sanofi-Aventis, headquarters, 174 Avenue de France, 75013 Paris

At first this demonstration was quite difficult to organise because of the French authorities, which didn’t want us to be there on that day. For un-known reasons they didn’t want us to gather in front of Sanofi’s buildings. Finally the day of the demo, they allowed us to do our protest at a corner of one the buildings for more than 2 hours. We reminded Sanofi that they were responsible for the torture and death of 500 animals a day in terrible conditions. It is urgent that Sanofi stops dealing with HLS.
