MORE BLACKROCK PROTESTS IN LA

Tuesday, 16th August

At 9am, about a dozen LA activists gathered at the California Plaza where the BlackRock office is located on the 37th floor to demand BlackRock to cut their ties with AstraZeneca and HLS.  As activists began protesting, security guards started lining up on the stairs that lead up to the building. After about 20 minutes of listening to the activists chants, the security guards stopped trying to intimidate the activists and went inside to "secure" the building.

The activists were not the only ones out that morning.  There were film production trucks lining the street, and at one point the film crew cheered on the activists, but not everyone was as supportive as they were.  One man approached an activist and went as far as to grab a hold of their megaphone.  The man cowered into the plaza dining area when activists turned on the sirens.

Shortly thereafter, a business man, who came from inside the building, proceeded to tell the activists that they were disrupting his work, and that they were ineffective because the people inside the building could not understand the chants.  The activists think otherwise because this man took time out of his day to ride all the way down the elevator, and walk out to the street just to let them know of his concerns.

The demonstration lasted about an hour, and the activists let the security guards, wherever they were, and BlackRock know that they'd be back, and they'll never back down!

UNTIL EVERY CAGE IS EMPTY AND HUNTINGDON IS CLOSED FOR GOOD!
