AXA & ASTRAZENECA HAVE PROTESTS IN PARIS

Tuesday, 23rd August

As part of a Global Week of Action against AstraZeneca, animal rights activists gathered in Paris for a day of action against Europe's largest animal testing laboratory, Huntingdon Life Sciences.

In the morning the activists met in front of AXA's offices. AXA are major shareholder of AstraZeneca which is a major customer of HLS. Without customers, HLS wouldn't be able to kill and torture 70,000 animals and there would be no HLS.

In the afternoon activists felt it was AstraZeneca's turn so they paid them a visit and protested there for three hours. They chanted and made speeches about HLS in front of their headquarters. Many leaflets were given out. Banners and placards showed to passers-by graphic images of vivisection.
