INVESCO HAS OFFICE DISRUPTION PROTEST IN PORTLAND, OR
Friday, 26th August
Today, dedicated activists from Portland Animal Defense League participated in August's AstraZeneca Attack by focusing their efforts on the Portland branch office of Invesco, AstraZeneca's second largest shareholder. Just before lunch, activists entered the Invesco building at 1000 SW Broadway, cruised past security and headed up to the 11th floor to Suite # 1110 for a very loud office disruption. Once inside, the silence was shattered by an airhorn blaring while activists tossed lit in all areas of the office and chanted, "CUT YOUR TIES WITH ASTRAZENECA, CUT YOUR TIES WITH HLS!" The employees inside were caught off guard and obviously frustrated by the raucous actions of the protestors.
This was the third time in the past couple months Portland's Invesco office has been named and shamed for their cruel investments in Astrazeneca. This action represents an escalation for activists in the area and a notice that as long as Invesco continues to enable AstraZeneca with funding horrific experiments inside HLS, it will remain a priority target.
Today's action was held in solidarity with activists across the globe dedicated to shutting HLS down for good. We are with you for as long as it takes.
Until All Are Free.
