ASTRAZENECA SHAREHOLDER, INVESCO HAS PROTEST IN ATLANTA

Friday, 26th August

Today, as part of the week of action against AstraZeneca. Atlanta activists had a short demo outside the global headquarters of Invesco at Two Peachtree Pointe, 1555 Peachtree Street, N.E., Suite 1800, Atlanta, GA 30309, (Tel: +1 404 479 1095 and +1 800 241 5477) for their investment and funding of animal research at HLS as they are a major shareholder of the dodgy pharma company, AstraZeneca.

Armed with placards, flyers and a megaphone we started our protest and informed workers and the public alike about Invesco's dealings with the most exposed lab in the world and about the cruelty, sloppy work practices and scienctific fraud that both HLS and Astrazeneca are responsible for.

We went on to tell Invesco (on the megaphone) that we'll continue to be out there, time and time again, shaming them until they pull their shares out of Astrazeneca. We talked to two Invesco employees, that seemed to be pretty surprised at the animal torture Invesco are funding.

We certainly plan on doing another protest real soon there and continue to highlight Invesco until they pull their shares out of Astrazeneca.
