MORE LA DEMOS AGAINST ASTRAZENECA

Saturday, 6th August

On Saturday, Los Angeles activists continued to put the pressure on BlackRock, and AstraZeneca by visiting their employees at their neighborhoods demanding that BlackRock divest from AstraZeneca, the number one customer of HLS or that AstraZeneca cuts their ties with Huntingdon Life Sciences for good.

The first demonstration of the day was held at Linda Arnette's neighborhood. Arnette is a director at BlackRock Inc. Activists joined together in front of Arnette's house to be the voice for the 70,000 defenseless animals that are imprisoned inside of HLS. With megaphones and lots of energy the neighborhood was well informed about Linda Arnette and BlackRock's bloody ties with HLS. Many of the neighbors supported the activists and thanked them for fighting for the tortured.

Next, activists visited Charles Carr's neighborhood. Carr is a regional trainer and development leader for AstraZeneca. Activists marched up and down the street letting Charles' neighbors know about his ties with the notorious Huntingdon Life Sciences. Chants such as "500 Animals Died Today, Charles Carr Is To Blame" and "HLS, Shut Them Down" were being used to make the message loud and clear. The demonstrators received a warmer reception by the neighbors than they had received previously.

Finally, the day ended at Victoria Carrington's neighborhood. She is a executive vice president at Aptium Oncology which is a subsidiary of AstraZeneca. Activists were greeted by Carrington's husband, who was bewildered by their presence, shortly after the demonstration began. The demonstration continued even when he tried to interrupt the protest and ended with the ever powerful message, we'll be back and we always win!

UNTIL EVERY CAGE IS EMPTY AND HUNTINGDON IS CLOSED FOR GOOD!
