CHARGES DROPPED ON HIGHGATE FARM PROTESTERS
Wednesday, 16th February
Activists who held a peaceful protest camp on public land outside of Highgate Farm last year, were unlawfully arrested for a section of law (contravening a direction under section 42 of the Criminal Justice and Policing Act given by a police officer) wrongly and unreasonably imposed by the police.
After a legal battle between activists and the police and Highgate Farm over last year's arrests, the charges have now been dropped and so no trial will go ahead.
Highgate Farm can expect an even longer protest camp this year.
