Thursday, 13th January

We held demos outside two main shareholders of the notorious pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca who continue supporting HLS killing 500 innocent and sentient animals every day and using us (humans) in a mass testing program.

We first visited Axa's UK HQ at 5 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1AD Tel: +44 (0)20 7920 5900 where we had a loud demo. Although Axa security closed 2 of the 3 maindoors to the building, Axa employees could still hear very clearly our message naming and shaming them for working for such greedy and hypocritical company. Axa make out they are animal welfare friendly and 'ethical'. Axa supply insurance for the RSPCA, but at the same time they are funding torture and abuse at HLS.

On Axa’s web site, Henri de Castries (Chairman of the AXA Group's Management Board), writes on the Axa’s “Business Ethics” page:

“For us, becoming a global leader means not only being on the podium in each country where we operate for our technical, commercial and financial performance, but also setting the standard through exemplary business practices and ethical behavior".

“Exemplary…ethical…behavior”? How come an immoral company with obsession of money and power set the standard through exemplary ethical behavior while investing in animal torture at HLS, helping to kill 500 intelligent and sentient animals every day? Where HLS workers have been caught on camera punching puppies in the face, cutting open monkeys while still alive, falsifying data, dealing illegal substances on company premises and killing animals due to neglect because the workers were drunk!?

Later on we went to another Axa office, this time Axa Corporate Solutions and Axa Insurance Services at 136-140 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 6BL, Tel: 020 7702 6600. Activists gave them a wake up call and reminder that we will protest at any or all Axa's offices while they continue to fund animal abuse at HLS by having shares in a major customer of HLS. We had a lot of interest from the passing public.

We finished the protests at another global investment company with no morals or ethics - BlackRock at 33 King William Street, London EC4R 9AS Tel: +44 (0)20 7743 2191. Who are the largest Equity shareholder of AstraZeneca with a great deal of influence over AZ to either put pressure on them to drop HLS or for them to sell their shares in AstraZenca. A pharmaceutical company who doesn’t care about curing illnesses as proved in court and are only after selling their drugs for big profits while hiding from us the shocking figures of drug hazards and side effects. AstraZeneca were also raided by the European Commission as part of an investigation into AstraZeneca colluding to keep cheaper drugs off the market and they say they care about human health!

BlackRock and Axa, we will continue protesting outside your offices and naming and shaming you until you sell your shares in AstraZeneca.
