Saturday, 30th July

GREAT day of home demos engaged in by Friends of Animals United New Jersey (FAUN) members from both the NY & NJ contingents of the group, highlighted with a surprise "cherrybusting" visit to AstraZeneca Investor Relations bigwig Jorgen Winroth. Apparently some of the upper crusties residing in this posh Upper West Side bldg were infuriated enough with our "street rabble" as to confront us, call police for "disturbing the peace" etc, only to find themselves dismissed/overrun via a wall of chanting echoing throughout the neighborhood, calling Winroth out for his $take in innumberable bloody deeds.

Brilliant poetic chant spontaneously invented by activist Linda G. permeated our visit to Pfizer VP Corp. rep Elizabeth Golden: "Where could an animal abuser be? .. Elizabeth Golden , 22C!"

Of course we said hello to old pals Andrew Baker, CEO of Huntingdon Life Sciences and Lamberto Andreotti, CEO of Bristol-Myers Squibb in loud, vocal, militant appearances. Despite the heat, crowds & traffic, FAUN activists came together for a powerful day, with thousands of leaflets given out across 25 blocks of NYC!
