Friday, 25th March

Not long after 8am activists today decided to start a little bit earlier than normal and went to Axa's UK HQ, at 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AD (Tel: 020 7920 5900) to greet the workers going into work there. As usual, Axa closed all their doors except one and let staff in one at a time through the narrow entrance - surely it would be easier to follow your ethical policy and stop funding animal abuse Axa? While you continue to be a major shareholder of the discredited pharmaceutical, AstraZeneca who continues to use HLS and your market and financial department argue over the pros and cons of unethical investment, we will always be there to highlight your lies and hypocrisy to your employees, building users and the passing public.

As it was only 9:30 so we moved off to Invesco, at 30 Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1AG (Tel: 020 7065 4000), another large investor in animal abuse and suffering at HLS. Invesco not only have shares in AstraZeneca, but also GlaxoSmithKline - both are known customers of HLS - paying for the horrific abuse and deaths of 500 animals a day. We had a short demo at their offices before moving off to meet up with others at 10:30 before continuing on to our next protest of the day.

A short walk from meeting up and we went to Legal and General, at 1 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA (Tel: 020 3124 3000 and 0800 027 7169) to highlight their greed and profiteering in animal abuse at HLS as another large shareholder of discredited AstraZeneca. This may be just another unethical investment to them along with their dealings with the arms trade and environmental destruction. But we will not stand by L&G and let you continue your unethical ways and we will be on your case until you do the right thing and de-invest in AstraZeneca and the vivisection industry.

Then it was off for a quick break and meet up with other activists for a journey across to Paddington, to AstraZeneca's global HQ at Floors 7-9, Two Kingdom Street, Paddington Central, London, W2 6BD (Tel: 020 7304 5000). Where activists sent a clear and loud message to AstraZeneca - we will not tolerate your continued animal abuse and torture - with activists walking into their office building and chanting for half an hour about their dealings in vivisection with many staff peering down from their offices, we left as the police arrived and we then sat down on the entrance of the building to continue to highlight AstraZeneca's cruelty and animal abuse to the neighbouring companies outside within the complex. After a while we moved away from their building but continued to chant and name and shame AstraZeneca for their animal abuse, suppression of test data, lying over their side effects and being raided by the European Commission for colluding to keep cheaper drugs off the market, just so they could profit more!

We had a lot of interest from the passing public and other building users. And you know AZ that we will not leave you alone until you stop your animal torture. See you soon.
