Thursday, 12th May

We started outside the largest equity shareholder of AZ, with over 160 million shares - BlackRock at 33 King William Street, London EC4R 9AS. (Tel: 0800 445 522), where we had a loud demo with much interest during this busy lunchtime period with passersby and BlackRock staff walking across London Bridge. We stayed there for an hour and handed out many leaflets about AstraZeneca and HLS's track record.

Activists then moved onto AXA's UK HQ, at 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AD (Tel: 020 7920 5900) with outreach to the workers from the building and the passing public, with once again many leaflets being taken. We continued to chant loudly about Axa's involvement with animal abuse paid for by AstraZeneca at HLS.

Then after a short break it was onto Legal & General at 1 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA (Tel: 020 3124 3000 and 0800 027 7169) for a final protest to round off the day of highlighting the shareholders of AstraZeneca. With a good location, with good acoustics our message was heard all around the near district, with many L&G staff members looking out of their windows at our protest.

We will continue to highlight the abuse of all animals trapped inside HLS and all the companies that facilitate that abuse to continue with their financial injection of blood money.

Until all are free.
