MORE ASTRAZENECA SHAREHOLDER PROTESTS IN THE CITY

Thursday, 20th October

Today, we continued to highlight AstraZeneca's and HLS's cruelty and scientific fraud outside the investors of AstraZeneca and to passing city workers.

We started the day outside the AXA Investment Managers offices at 7 Newgate Street, near to the anti-capitalists protest at St Pauls with a loud demo at their main entrance highlighting the fact that whether it is vivisection, the arms trade or other nefarious schemes to make money out of others misery. AXA continue to make out they're an 'ethical' company while at the same time investing in animal abuse at the most exposed lab in the world, where 500 animals are murdered every day.

After AXA, we moved on to BlackRock Investment Management's new gleaming offices at Drapers Gardens, 12 Throgmorton Avenue, London, EC2N 2DL, (Tel: 0800 44 55 22 and 020 7743 3000), where again we had a loud protest and educated the passing public and surrounding businesses to BlackRock's dealing with AstraZeneca and HLS. BlackRock know only too well that AstraZeneca have been caught out lying over their side effects, have been raided by the European Commission, are under investigation by the US government for brides and kickbacks, as well as dealing with the absolute cruelty at HLS. But BlackRock doesn't give a dam, as long as they make money. We made sure that BlackRock got our message that we do give a dam and we'll continue to protest against BlackRock until they stop investing in vivisection.

Then it was a short walk to Legal & General at 1 Coleman Street to remind their staff and the passing public what L&G invest in - animal abuse and human suffering - we had speeches and chanting around the offices to continue to remind L&G of their ethical obligations and to change their ways, otherwise we'll be back time and time again.

Last demo of the day was outside AXA's UK HQ at 5 Old Broad Street where we had another loud protest outside their main entrances and continued to let the building users, passers-by and AXA know exactly what we think of their dealings with animal abuse and cruelty at HLS.

We will not tolerate your lies and your lack a ethical responsibility. Until you stop dealing with AstraZeneca, HLS and the vivisection industry we will not let up!
