BRISTOL ACTIVISTS CONFRONT ASTRAZENECA STAFF AS THEY LEAVE WORK

Wednesday, 29th August

On Wednesday AstraZeneca’s Bristol site was visited by a group of activists, meeting workers as they left to go home. Megaphones and chanting were used to ensure that no one left unaware of the cruelty going on inside their labs. Placards helped to destroy the bubble of ignorance that some tried so hard to maintain, turning up the stereos in their cars so they could pretend to themselves they weren’t involved in a company that kills nearly 400,000 animals every year.

This demo took place in line with the SHAC week of action which has seen protests as well as phone and e-mail blockades of AstraZeneca and their investors across the world. However, we can always use more support for regular demos, so if you can help in anyway or want help with your own actions don’t hesitate to contact us!
