Friday, 17th February

London activists started their day by travelling to SE London and going to Henderson Biomedical Ltd at Worsley Bridge Road, Lower Sydenham, London, SE26 5AZ - Tel: +44 (0)20 8663 4610 as they have been caught out supplying and servicing lab equipment to HLS. Where a loud protest ensured that the Hendersons and the passing public knew exactly why we were there. As usual the Hendersons scurried away to call the police that arrived after about half an hour and had no problem with our protest, we stayed for about an hour to make our point. While they deal with HLS, we'll continue to deal with them!

Then it was back into the city and to the largest equity shareholder of AstraZeneca, BlackRock at Drapers Gardens, 12 Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2N 2DL (Tel: 0800 44 55 22 and 020 7743 3000). Where we had another loud protest, naming and shaming BlackRock for their lack in morals in investing in animal abuse and scientific fraud with AstraZeneca and HLS.

Next stop was Legal & General at 1 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA (Tel: 020 3124 3000 and 0800 027 7169) another large shareholder of AZ and protested along the side of their offices attracting the attention of the workers there. It's time for the city to get some morals and compassion, while they continue to invest in AstraZeneca and the vivisection industry we will continue to highlight them for their lies of making out that they have an 'ethical policy', which in corp speak means very little. Action is more important then words, and we'll continue to take action against those that help prop up the abuse and suffering.

To finish off the day it was a short walk to AXA's UK HQ offices, at 5 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AD (Tel: 020 7920 5900) another AZ shareholder who have lied about their dealings with vivisection, while supporting the RSPCA. AXA did their usual trick of closing their doors and hiding from the truth about their dealings with animal abuse and torture. All these shareholders effectively part-own AstraZeneca and have influence and we urge them to help make AstraZeneca make the right choice and stop using HLS and stop animal abuse.
