Thursday, 26th January

The first target of the day was Henderson Biomedical Ltd, at Worsley Bridge Road, Lower Sydenham, London, SE26 5AZ (Tel: +44 (0)20 8663 4610), which supplies HLS with laboratory equipment. We had a loud protest with megaphones, calling upon Managing Director Mark Henderson to stop dealing with the most notorious animal laboratory in the world, HLS. Henderson has stated that he wouldn't want 'his' animals to be inside HLS, what a hypocrite! We will continue protesting at your premises Mark until you cut your ties with that hell-hole.

Back to central London, we visited BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, at Drapers Gardens, 12 Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2N 2DL (Tel: 0800 44 55 22 and 020 7743 3000), a large shareholder of AstraZeneca, which helps keep HLS open. BlackRock continue to invest large amounts of money in poisoning thousands of innocent sentient animals for profit. BlackRock is so used to corrupt environments and unethical behaviors that they condone the investment in animal torture and the production of cluster bombs as part of their day to day business, it will not be tolerated!

Our next visit was for Legal & General Investment Management at 1 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA (Tel: 020 3124 3000 and 0800 027 7169), a short walking distance from BlackRock, who are another large shareholder of AstraZeneca, where we continued our loud protest, disrupting one of their meetings as well as many of their employees’ computer work. We asked Legal and General to stop investing in corruption, suffering and death and either sell their shares in AstraZeneca or put pressure on them to use the 450 methods (at least) which can replace animal experimentation.

Tragedies like Thalidomide or Vioxx will happen again, as long as the pharmaceutical industry continue testing their products on animals.

For the animals, always!
