Friday, 8th June

Activists started the protests at Axa Investment Managers at 7 Newgate Street, London, EC1A 7NX, Tel: 020 7003 1000. We hadn’t been there for a while so we thought it would be balanced to visit them and embarrass them loud and sharply. A woman stood at the reception, behind the entrance barriers with an unhappy face and arms folded, what made evident that the staff were aware of our visit. We got lots of support from the public, who felt appalled to hear about the Axa’s secret corrupt business.

The light rain cleared the air and we moved to Axa's UK HQ at 5 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1AD, Tel: 020 7920 5900. We arrived during their lunch break, a perfect time to shame Axa. Old Broad Street was busy and we made sure that Axa’s neighbouring employees and the passing public took leaflets and listened to our monologues and chants.

After a well deserved break we moved to Legal & General Investment Management at 1 Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA, Tel: 020 3124 3000 and 0800 027 7169. It was hysterical to see the security staff reacting at our arrival, jumping from their comfortable reception chairs and reporting our presence on the radio like if we were Freddy Krueger! We made certain of naming and shaming L&G for backing cluster-arms manufacturers and investing in the sadistic vivisection industry.

We will be your headache until you do the right thing and stop investing in the vicious industry of cutting, burning, shocking, shooting, freezing, infecting, drugging, addicting, blinding and surgically mutilating live animals at Huntingdon Life Sciences.

We’ll be back!
