Friday, 30th March

Today activists visited the AXA offices at Marlborough House, Marlborough Street, Bristol, BS1 3NX, to protest against the company's ties to the vivisection industry and Huntingdon Life Sciences. AXA invests in Astrazeneca, one of HLS' main customers, putting them in a perfect position to take a real 'ethical' stand and stop funding and profiting from the torture and death of innocent animals inside HLS.

With activists holding placards reading 'AXA Profit from Animal Torture in HLS' and handing out many leaflets, the passing public, AXA staff and neighbouring office workers were made aware of AXA's dodgy 'ethical standards' and blood money.

This demo was a continuing part of a week of action against Astrazeneca, which has seen demos at Astrazeneca in Avonmouth and AXA offices, earlier in the week. If you would like to get involved in future protests in the Bristol area, contact barc@hotmail.co.uk
