ASTRAZENECA SHAREHOLDERS, LEGAL & GENERAL AND AXA HAVE DEMOS IN LONDON

Friday, 23rd November

London activists accused AstraZeneca’s major shareholders, Legal & General and Axa, of investing in the hidden vivisection industry at Huntingdon Life Sciences. HLS use, abuse and consume around 185,000 animals every year.

Legal & General and Axa don’t feel any compassion for the 500 animals who die every day at HLS. There is no sympathy for the nearly 400,000 animals that are experimented on and killed every year, AstraZeneca’s own statistics. These include dogs, cats, chimps and many others. They have no morals. They have eliminated their compassion toward suffering victims. They never want to get emotionally involved. When we speak, they just look away and keep walking towards their offices.

Activists spoke about one of the most secretive industries on earth: the vivisection industry. HLS is contracted by manufacturers of pharmaceutical, chemical and other products to perform barbaric tests on an industrial scale.

We’ll continue to embarrass these companies until they stop investing in animal torture and put pressure on AstraZeneca to avoid using animals when validated non-animal tests exist.

Until all are free.
